Enhancing Active Listening Skills as a Helping Competency: Volunteers Formation

February 13, 2018

As we continue to value for those who care for the inmates and their families, the Philippine Jesuit Prison Service (PJPS), in partnership with the International Coach Federation Philippine Chapter (ICFP), would like to invite our volunteers and other partners to this Formation Session activity on February 25, Sunday, 9:00AM to 3:00PM.

The activity is for us who want to improve our quality of life by clarifying areas in our lives where we might feel stuck, confused, or just needing a listening ear.

The first part of the day is to learn the structure of a coaching conversation and apply it to the mothers, our PJPS Kids, and our significant others.

After lunch, the coaches of ICF will come and engage us in conversations. This is a free-wheeling conversation about any aspect of PJPS, work, or personal life where you wish to reframe.

"In my business practice, the ICF-accredited coaches are really sought after because of the value they bring into the conversations. They are great at what they do.“ says Mr. Mennen Aracid, a long-time volunteer of PJPS.

We are working on a 1-to-1 ratio of coaches who can come on the weekend so conversations with volunteers will not feel hurried. May we request that you send your confirmation as soon as possible.

For information and other details, you may coordinate with Dong Henry thru Tel. No. 659-0513/ 398-6328.
